In 1971, 50% of no car was the lion’s share while the figures for only car and a couple of cars were much lower, standing at approximately 15% or over, especially the share of double cars was 15%, which was half of one car. From 1981 to 1991, a 20% increase can be witnessed in the rate of car ownership while the proportion of no car and two cars registered a marked decline, ranging from just above 40% to nearly 20%.
