The graph protrays the birth rate per 1000 for six unique age groups.Over the years, some age groups have shown an increase in birthrate while other groups haven’t shown similar results either by staying consistent or decreasing in rate.
The 40 and over age group birth rates started from 20000 in 1973 , yet it started decresing steadily until it reached around 10000 in 2008. On the other hand, the 35-39 age range starting 40000 birth rates stayed steady until 1998 , and then showed a sudden spike in birth rates between the years 1988-1993. After this sudden increase , it remained stable from 1993-2008 having birth rates of approximately 63000.The under 20 age group showed a consistent decreasing rate starting at 60000 in 1973 to around 40000 in 2008.The 30-35 age range ,on the other hand, portrayed a steady increase from roughly 70000 in 1973 to approximately 81000 in 2008.Although, it should be noted that it reamined almost unchanged from 1993-2008 with just a minor increase. The 20-25 age group decreased consistently similar to the under 20 age group ,however, this age group started from around 120000 in 1973 and decreased to approximately 90000 birth rates in 2008.The 25-29 age group birth rates decreased from 140000 in 1973 ,and then the birth rates increased in a bell curved shape from 1983 to 1998.Lastly, the 25-29 birth rates decreased again from 1983-2008 to end at around 120000 birth rates.
All in all, there were many ups and downs for each age group. The 20-25,40 and over, and the under 20 age groups all showed a consistent decrease in birth rates. The 25-29 age group witnessed the most inconssitency. It is tediuos to set a one-fits all pattern for all the age groups because each of them has its own changes
