The chart compares how much France and the UK spent on five different goods, namely cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras in 2010.
In general, cars was the category which both countries spend the most while the expenditures spent on perfume in both countries were the lowest.
As can seen from the chart, American spent more money than France in three type of goods, including cars, books and cameras. At the first category, the figure for the United Kingdom was 450000 pounds , higher than 50000 pounds compared to France. About books, both the expenditures in two countries were less than the former, at approximately 410000 pounds in the UK and 300000 pounds in France. Cameras was the feature saw the largest disparity between two countries, recorded a figure of 350000 pounds in the UK, nearly twice and a haft by comparision with the figure on France.
By contrast, the consumers in France spent more money to buy computers and perfume than in the UK. About computers, France and the UK shared a quite similar figure, at nearly 380000 pounds and 350000 pounds respectively. Meanwhile, the expense used for perfume in France stood at 200000 pounds, greater than 60000 pounds compared to in the UK.
