Overall, there were altogether four different electronic games, where console games and handheld games were available in the global market since 2000, while online games and mobile phone games were introduced in the worldwide market in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
Mobile phone games sales record were in gradually increasing order, starting at around 1.5 billion dollar in 2002 and reached the peak sales of around 7 billion dollar in 2006.Likewise, online games sales were increasing slightly in the first four year, where the sales was about 1 billion dollar in 2001 and increased up to around 5 billion dollar. After this point, sales increased rapidly around 10 billion dollar in just one year. Similarly, sales data of handheld games were also in increasing order over six year period. In the starting year, the sales was about 12 billion dollar and the sales value rise up to 18 billion dollar in 2006 which was the highest sales value of digital games.
On the other hand, sales of console games were decreased slightly. In year 2000, the sales was around 8 billion dollar but at the end of 2006 the sales of console games were only about 3 billion dollar.
