The chart illustrates the proportion of adults involvement in a number of major sports including tennic, basketball, cricket, golf, swimming, footbal and rugby between 1997 and 2017.
Overall, it can be seen that tennis is the most played sport, while basketball is the least particpated sport in both years in 1997 and 2017. Whereas, there are a growth in the number of participation in almost all the sport, cricket is the only sport that experience the least participation from adult.
Tennis, and golf rise considerably between 1997 and 2017 from 50 thousands participant in tennis to around 53 thousands. It can be seen the number of adult participating in swimming remained the same with approximately 33 thousands over the years.
Furthermore, football, rugby and basketball grow rapidly from about more than 30 thousands to a little les than 50 thousands for footbal and rugby. However, while the three sports rose dramatically, cricket decrease exponentially from around 23 thousands to only less than 10 thousands.
