The bar chart shows how many car trips were taken by men and women for different purposes on daily basis in a European city. Overall, females took more trips for eating out, meeting friends and shopping, compared to their counterparts, who recorded higher figures in entertainment, taking children to school, and commuting. In addition, regardless of gender, more trips were taken for commuting, shopping, and taking children to school than for the remaining purposes.
Focusing on higher figures first, 180 car trips were taken to and from work by men, followed distantly by women who took 130, making the disparity between them the highest across all purposes. While 140 trips were taken for shopping by males on daily basis, women, in contrast, recorded noticeably higher figures, at 150. The number of trips taken for taking children to school by women was nowhere as high as their counterparts, at 90 and 130, respectively.
As for the smaller figures, men took more trips for entertainment, at 65, whereas women recorded 50. The figure for males who took trips to meet their friends was 20, making it marginally lower than that for women, at 25. 20 trips were taken by females for eating out, as opposed to males who took just 15.
