The bar chart compares how much a family earns United States during an eight-year period. Overall, changes were marginal over the years except a significant increment was evident in the households which earned more than a hundred thousand dollars annually.
Firstly, the number of families with a yearly income of less than 25 thousand dollars began at 25 million in 2007, then rose to 29 million and 27 million in 2011 and 2015, respectively. A similar trend was observed in the families which earned between 25 thousand dollars to less than 50 thousand dollars, which the figure started at 27 million families, then hovered around 28 to 30 million households during the following eight years.
Non-differently, the number of families in the salary bracket of 50 thousand dollars to less than 75 thousand dollars remained plateau at 21 million from 2007 to 2015, while there were only marginal fluctuation of approximately 1 million among the families that received an annual pay of 75 thousand dollars to less than 100 thousand dollars. As stated earlier, the only marked difference in the proportion of families’ income occurred in the salary range of more than 100 thousand dollars. In this outlier’s group, there were initially 30 million families in 2007 earning the aforementioned pay, which the number of families then declined to 27 million in 2011 but spiked to 33 million at the end of the study period.
