From an overall perspective, the individuals earning $50,000 – $74,999 witnessed a dramatic increase, with the number of households reaching above 30 in 2015, whereas those earning $75,000 – $99,999 did not change at all.
Regarding the number of people with incomes less than $25,000, it began at around 25 million, peaked at just under 30 before falling to about 28. For those whose income ranges from $25,000 to $49,000, in 2007 it was approximately 27 million. By 2011, it experienced growth, reaching 30 million. However, in the four years that followed, it dipped to around 28 million.
In terms of earners making $50,000 – $74,999 and $75,000 – $99,999, it remained stable throughout the period, each accounting for about 21 million and 14 million, respectively. In contrast, people who earned at least $100,000 decreased from 30 million in 2007 to around 25 million. Eventually, it reached the highest number, approximately 33 million, by the end of the period.
