The provided bar graph illustrates the amount of men and women in further education in Britan at 3 different time periods, as well as if they were full time or part time studying. Overall, both females and males found an increased number of people over the past 3 decades studying full time education, however in males there is an overall decrease in part time studying education.
Over the 30 years, regarding the males studying full time the graph shows that there is an increase of around 150 thousand, from 100 thousand to 250 thousand, while at the same time males studying part time had an overall decrease of around 100 thousand, which is broken down into a decrease from 1 million in 1970/71 to around 850 thousand in 1980/81 and then a slight increase to around 900 thousand in 1990/91.
However, over the same period of time there seems to be a significant increase in both part time and full time education for females, the number of women studying part-time rose from around 750 thousand in 1970/71 to around 1.1 million in 1990/91. Additionally, the number of female full-time students rose quickly from around 75 thousand in 1970/71 to around 225 thousand in 1990/91.
