The chart given illustrates that the number of male and female student in further education over the three decades from 1970 to 1990 in UK and whether they studied as full -time or part-time.
It can be clearly seen that over these periods, more than 800 students had taken their education as part- time in both gender. There are huge difference for the number of full time student and part time.
If we take a close look at the trend in male student’s number, in 1the year of 1970-71, there were 1000 of part time students then it slightly has declined. Unlikely, the number of full time male student has increased by the year.
In contrast, for female student, getting part-time education was becoming popular over the three decades. As you can see, the number has increased, especially, between 1980 and next 10 years, has dramatically increased which is plus around 300 people. However, for full time student in that time, the number stayed remain as around 200 students.
Overall, Although there were some obvious changes in the number of part time student in both gender over this period of 30 years, the number of full timer student had been changed through these period of time.
