The chart illustrates the number of British men and women in further education in three academic years on the forms of studying of full or part-time.
In general, both genders preferred part-time education rather than another one. However, full-time education was chosen gradually by more students while comparing previous years.
In the cases of male, the portion of the English men who studied part-time courses fell from 1000 thousands to nearly 850 thousand between 1970/71 and 1980/81. Despite that fact, there was a modest rise in 1990/91 to 900 thousand in the scope of learners. Full-time students among males upturned throughout periods gradually and arrived at 230 thousand per person.
On the other side of the diagram, the fraction of female learners part-time education grew gently between the first and second years of observation, while it increased sharply to 1100 thousands per captcha in 1990/91. Women in full-time education was the least in the first academic semester on the chart. Nevertheless, the index of females rocketed in 1980/81 and 1990/91 terms at more than 200 thousands.
