The bar chart reports the number of students attending a further education in Britain in three different period: 1970/71, 1980/81 and 1990/91. The chart distinguishes between men and women and between part-time students and full-time students.
The most evident think that the graph shows is the difference between part-time and full-time student. The full-time students are only the 10-20% of the total number of students, it dependes from the period cosidered. Despite this, the numer of full-time students is slowly incrased during the years, for both men and woman, from about 200 thousands in 1970 to about 500 thousands in 1990.
The graph also shows a different tred between men and woman who attend a further education. The number of female students is increase from about 750 thousands in 1970 to about 1100 thousands in 1990. The number of male students instead is slightly decrease from 1000 thousands in 1970 to about 900 thousands in 1990. Considering both men and women, the overall number of students is increased from 1800 thousands in 1970 to 2000 thousands in 1990, with a slightly decrease in 1980 with only 1700 students.
