The chart provide information about the ratio of males and females in UK about the further education from 1970 to 1991, whether they pursue full-time or part-time education.
Overall, the ratio of males showed some fluctuations to study part-time education whereas, the number of females experienced upward trend. Also, both male and female rise-up to pursue full-time education throughout the period.
In early 1970/71 the number of male was 1 million and it falls almost by 150 thousand and reached approximately around 850 thousand in 1980/81. Hence, around 50 thousand male students joined part-time education in 1990/91 and touched around 900 thousand. The number of females was almost 750 thousand in the beginning of the period and experienced rising trend up to 1990/91 and reached almost 1.1 million.
Both male and female of Britain shows less interest on full-time education. The ratio of male was around 150 thousand on 1970/71 and its rise up steady and raised almost by 80 thousand at the end of the period. Hence, in 1970/71 there was least number of female students which is approximately 100 thousand and experienced upward trend and grown up by around 110 thousand in 1990/91.
