The illustration delineates the proportion of male and female teachers in 6 distinct educational settings in the UK in 2010. From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that females have a tendency to take part in lower educational levels. Another striking feature is that nursery and Primary school had a dramatic disparity between men and women.
Looking at the chart in more detail, it is noteworthy that the level of education before college was dominated by women which created a significant imbalance between 2 genders. Particularly, it is noticeable that Pre-school and Primary school teachers’ percentages were 95% and 90% women, after which this number tends to have a reduction in secondary school while female proportion is just about 5% higher than male. At the college levels the two proportions were shared equally.
Regarding the remaining part of the chart, proportions of men in the upper level of education had an upward trend. The private training institute experienced the conversed statistics with secondary school. Meanwhile, at university levels, men accounted for approximately 70%, 40% higher than women.
