The bar chart represents the information about the ratio of men and women teachers in six distinct types of educational institutions in the UK in 2010.
Overall, it is noticeable that female teachers are superior male teachers in younger educational institutions. In contrast, a reversed trend seems in advanced educational settings.
The percentage of female tutors in nurseries and primary schools were approximately 95% and 90%, respectively, which is about nine times more than male tutors. However, there is not a great disparity in percentage of pedagogues in secondary schools and colleges. Ratio of men and women teachers in secondary schools was roughly 45% and 50%. Additionally, male teachers in colleges were nearly 50%, which was equivalent to the percentage of female teachers.
Two remaining advanced institutions were private training institutes and universities, which mostly contained male pedagogues. There were approximately 55% of male teachers and 45% of female teachers in private training institutes. Moreover, the percentage of male tutors in universities was roughly 70%, which was more than two times that of female tutors.
