Overall, the three categories have experienced a positive trend over the years. Women consumed the highest portions, which were then followed by men having the second highest. The least was eaten by children.
In 2001, the percentage of women eating fruits and vegetables had started at merely above 20%. It reached its peak in 2006 at over 30%, before falling to 30% at the end of the final year.
Whereas men and children eating fruits and vegetables were initiated at above 15% and 10%, respectively, in 2001. In the case of men, they reached their highest in 2006 at 27%, which then remained stagnant the following year. Finally, they decreased to 26% in the final year. In comparison, children attained their highest in 2007 at 26%, then decreased to 25% in the final year.
