The chart shows information about Yemen’s and Italy’s populations age groups in 2000 and make projections for 2050. The analyzed groups are 0-14, 15-59 and 60+ years.
In 2000 Yemens biggest percentage of the population was made up of 0-14 year olds, making up 50.1% of the population. That same age group filled only 14.3% of Italy’s population at that same time. Both percentages project a decrease towards 2050, going respectively to 37% in Yemen and 11.5% in Italy.
Italy’s biggest percentage was 15-59 years which started at 61.6% in 2000 and is predicted to go down to 46.2% in 2050. Yemen had 46.3% of it’s population in that age range, and predicts an increase towards 57.3%.
The biggest change projection is for 60+ year olds in Italy, going from 24.1% in 2000 to 42.3% in 2050. That same age group is predicted to have a small change in Yemen, starting at 3.6% and increasing to 5.7%.
