Overall, the significant reason for travel was going to and from work where a s the reason to visit relatives/friends were least reason. Likewise, the main cause for traveling public was the price of travel.
It is clear from the graph, in 2009, the ratio of and from work was the highest with 49%. While, visiting friends and relatives were the lowest percentage of 6%. The number for social and shopping activities accounted for 10% and 16% respectively. On the other hand, almost a fifth of American residents traveled for personal reason.
Switching to pie chart, price was the major issue for most people with highest rate of 36%. Moreover, they face some safety concerns, aggressive driving, highway congestion and access to public transport, which were at 8%, 14%, 17% and 19% respectively. Finally, a total of 6% of those surveyed throught that space for predestrians were the least issue.
