Nearly half of all trips, precisely 49%, were made for business purposes, making it the dominant reason for travel. Visiting family or friends accounted for just over a quarter of trips at 28%, while leisure travel constituted almost a sixth at 15%. Commuting trips, on the other hand, made up the smallest fraction, contributing to a tiny proportion of only 8%.
The most frequently reported issue was cost, which impacted just under two-fifths (38%) of travelers, reflecting a major challenge. Safety concerns were the second most common problem, troubling a quarter (25%) of respondents. Scheduling issues affected nearly one-sixth of travelers at 15%, while service quality posed difficulties for a tenth (10%). Space-related issues were reported by an insignificant minority, making up only 5%.
