Overall, breakfast contributes the least to a person’s daily nutrition, while dinner and lunch show the higher and distribution of all three nutrients. In addition, added sugar is consumed the most in snacks.
In breakfast, sodium, sugar and fat shared the most balanced numbers with all being around 15%. Meanwhile, snack gives 14% of sodium, 21% of saturated fat and the most considerable one – 42% of added sugar. This means that snack is the most unhealthy meal due to its notable higher amount of sugar compared to the others.
Regarding of lunch, this is the meal that includes the second highest nutrition per day. It contains a similar amount of sodium and fat, whose percentages are 29% and 26%, respectively. The one which contributes the most sodium is dinner, and its proportion is 43% – nearly the same as that of snacks’ sugar. Thus, dinner has a significant part in giving fat and sugar, covering up 37% and 23% of totals.
