Overall perspective, the proportion of households had a great growth during the period, while there was a sharp fall in the number of hours of housework per week over the whole period.
looking in more detail, the refrigerator rose rapidly from 0% in 1920 ,to 100% in 1980, then stayed the same until then.Likewise, there was a dramatic increase of around 30% in 1920, until reached peak in 2000 of 100% respectively. As for washing machines, the percentage also increased slightly to approximately 40% in 2000, with a small dip of around 65% in 1980,then they still managed to rise as time went by, although not significantly.
one notable point, regarding the number of hours per week, there was a slight climb of almost 50% in 1920 , before falling sharply to around 15% in 1980, then remained relatively levelled out until 2019.
