The data given in the line graphs provide the information of the usage in electrical devices owned by families and the amount of hours for household chores in a nation from 1920 to 2019.
From the overall perspective it can clearly be seen that electrical equipments had significantly increased whereas time for housework sharply declined.
Begin with the first graph, refrigerators were not common in houses in 1920, but they started popular afterwards. Since 1980, almost families had owned this device at home. Following with this device was vacuum cleaner which experienced a dramatically change from 30% to 100% in the last period which means the device presented in all homes. Finally, the percentage of families using washing machines increased from 40% in 1920 to 70% in just 40 years. It has stayed at just above 70% these days.
The second chart, with the rise in the number of electric appliances owned by families, the household share was diminished. In 1920, people used to spend 50 hours each week for housework, but in 1960 it had dropped at 20% and by 2019 it reached 10%.
