The pie chart displays the proportion of five different genres of reading sold by a particular bookseller from 1972 to 2012.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that there are huge changes in the types of books sold. All the books were equally popular in 1972 and 1992. However, adult fiction was the most popular in 2012.
The changes were minor in the first two decades. The number of adult friction sold had experienced a slight increase of 5 % and became the most popular books in 1992. The percentage of children’s books in 1972 was nearly the same as that of 1992 whereas there was a moderate fall in biography. Books for traveling witnessed a fall in the number of books sold. The proportion of other books which was the originally the majority in 1972 went down slightly by 5%.
Moving to 2012, there was a surge in friction for adults and make it the largest proportion in the chart followed by children’s friction which consisted of 25%. The numbers of other publication decreased moderately.
