Overall, it is clear from the chart that participation of volunteers was increased in sports, health care, and environment, the opposite was true for other types of organizations. However, in 2014 educational purpose was the dominant by encouraging people to volunteer programs.
Looking at the chart in more detail, volunteering in sport, environmental, and health care only increased organizations in figures. For example, if we look at the figures for sports, the percentages were increased noticeably by 10% (from 15% to 25%). Furthermore, while in 2008 the percentage of health care accounted for 7%, there was a slight decrease in proportion by 1%. Also, in 2008 environment considered 21%. The figures increased by 8% and reached 29%.
On the other hand, although in 2008, volunteering in educational was the most common option, the figures faced a dramatic increase in figures 24% and 17% respectively. In addition, the proportion of art decreased from 18% to 12%, and the other organizations also witnessed a fall from 15% to 9% in 2008 and 2014 respectively.
