In general, the largest proportion was in the educational category in 2008, while it was surpassed by the environmental category. The proportion of the sport and educational categories sew an increasing trend. On the other hand, three categories experienced a decline, and the proportion of contributors who volunteered in health care remained stable.
Looking at the information in more detail, in 2008, the figure for volunteers in educational institutions was the majority of all categories, which accounted for 24%. The percentage of environmental and art categories consisted of 21% and 18%, respectively. Two categories, sport and others, shared a similar percentage, each accounting for 15%. The healthcare category stood at the smallest proportion, at 7%.
On the other hand, the percentage of the environmental category surpassed the educational one, consisting of 29% during this period. There was an increase of 10% in the sport category.
