The given charts highlight the percentage of water being used for different kind of purposes in six areas of the world.
Overall,there are three sectors in which the water was used. The water used for agricultural purpose holds the vast majority in four areas out of six. Between the other two purposes, industrial usage was highest in two areas but in the remaining areas there has been a close between domestic and industrial.
In the four areas, where the vast majority of water was used for agricultural purpose can be said that they are mostly depended on agriculture.Among the four,Central Asia holds the highest percentage which is 88%. The other areas who crossed above 80 were Africa and South East Asia and their percentage were 84% and 81% respectively. The least percentage was held by South America which is 71%.
In terms of the other two sectors,the industrial usage accounted for 53% in Europe and almost half of the total in North America. Despite these two areas,it was higher in South East Asia too which is 12%. And in terms of domestic,it was only higher in South America and Africa at 19% and 9% respectively. The least amount of industrial use is 5% which is in Central Asia and for domestic use it is 7% in both Central Asia and South East Asia.
