The pie charts compare the percentage of water used in three different sectors in six parts of the world.
It is clear that people spent the most percentage of water for agricultural purpose. Domestic sector had the least percentage of water usage.
In terms of agriculture uses, Central Asia used the highest percentage of water at 88 percent. Africa and South East Asia had similar percentages at 84 percent and 81 percent respectively. The other three regions shared a relatively low percentage except for South America which was 71 percent. Coming to the next purpose which is industrial sector, Europe had the lion’s share at 63 percent. The other regions excluding North America had low percentages ranging from 5 percent to 12 percent.
On the other hand, in terms of domestic uses, Central and South East Asia each shared the same percentage at 7 percent. The American regions each used water for domestic uses at about 13 percent and 19 percent respectively. Coming next to Europe and Africa, both regions had a fluctuated figure compared to the former regions at 15 percent and 9 percent respectively.
