overall, it is clear from the graph that in the year 1970 men had the largest employment rate, whereas women had a similar job rate in both years. In both the graphs Japan has the highest rate of employment compared to rest three countries.
In the years 1970 and 2000, Australian men had a 74% of employment rate, over the period it had declined to 47%(2000), also Japan has the largest employment rate of 84%(1970) and which has reduced by 10% in the year 2000. Furthermore, the USA and Belgium have above 70% in the year 1970, but Belgium has the lowest percentage of 17%(2000).
On the other hand, women’s employment rate in Australia and Belgium has the lowest rate of less than 20% in both years, Although Japan had a higher percentage of 43% in 1970 and 40% in 2000 which does not have much difference. The USA had around 36% in 1970 and 38%(2000) which has two percent more in the year 2000.
