Overall, the data shows that whereas Spanish and German had a significant increase, Italian decrease gradually in the 15 years. Instead, the workers’ proportions that did not speak any other language and spoke only english rose during the same period. Only the amount of workers who were able to speak another language remained stable.
By 2005 the percentage of workers who speak Spanish and German in addition to english rose substantially. While Spanish rose by 10%, German had a slight increase by only 5%. Conversely Italian dropped from 10% in 1990 to 5 % in 200.
