The two pie charts illustrates the linguistic approach in percentage of Britain students at certain university in UK who have ability to speak languages different form English, in 2000 and 2010. Overall, the data shows about different languages spoken by the students with Spanish, the most favorite language. A large percentage of students were unable to speak any language other then English which reduced to half of it in 2010.
Both charts are showing a large percentage of pupils know Spanish. This proportion was 30% in 2000 which increased to 35% in 2010. About 20% of the students were able to speak French language which reduced to half proportion in 2010. German was the third European language whose proportion was 10, which remained same in both years.
In contrast to these languages, the data shows 20% of students didn’t have capacity to speak any language other than English but this proportion became half in 2010. There were many students who had capacity to speak two languages with proportion of 15 in 2000 and 20 in 2010 respectively. Some students were not able to speak German, Spanish or French but they can speak other language. The percentage was 15 in 2000 but it increased to 20 in 2010.
