The pie chart compares the changes in the proportions of qualifications of staff in an advertising company between 1990 and 2010. Overall, it is noticeable that there were increases in the highest degrees including PhD Science, PhD and Master Art qualifications while the opposite was true for Science and Art with the First Degrees whereas the percentage of Science with Master degree remained unchanged in both periods.
As for upward trends, the figure for PhD Science initially accounted for 12% in 1990 and showed dramatic growth to almost one third in 2010. The trend for Master Art increased marginally from 21% in 1990 to 23% while PhD Art remained unpopular despite a slight growth of 5% from 2% in the next period.
When it comes to downward trends, in 2010, the proportion for First Degrees of Art declined noticeably to 2% from 15% becoming the least popular qualification and that of Science made up two tenth in 1990, and then decreased to 11% after two decades. The degree of Master Science remained at the same level 29% across the period.
