Overall, in both countries, the services sector employs the highest percentage of both male and female workers. However, males in both countries tend to work in services more than females, while females have a higher percentage in agriculture and a lower percentage in industry compared to males. Additionally, Country B has a higher concentration of workers in services compared to Country A, especially for males.
In Country A, 56% of males worked in services. While 29% of males worked in agriculture, the remaining 15% worked in industry. In Country B, the majority of men worked in services (they comprised 65%). The remaining 33% was made up of industry and 2% agriculture. Among male workers in both countries, services dominated.
In Country A, female workers mainly worked in services (they comprised 49%). While 43% of female workers worked in agriculture, the remaining 8% worked in industry. In Country B, female workers played a very big part; that is to say, 49% worked in services. The remaining 11% were engaged in industry, and 1% in agriculture.
