Overall, in town A, the proportion of people who work in sales and services sectors declined, whereas manufacturing sector experienced a drammatic increase in the number of employees. Meanwhile, the ratio of people in manufacturing and services sector increased, while the significant decline was observed in the percentage of employees in sales sector.
In town A, even though the manufacturing sector accounted for 29% of workforce in 1960, this figure surged by over half at 64% in 2010. Conversly, the proportion of individulas working in the sales and services sectors almost halved to 20% and 16%, respectively in 2010.
On the other hand, in town B, the percentage of workforce in sales sector plummeted from 70% in 1960 to 53% in 2010. Furthermore, while the ratio of employees in manufacturing went up to 25% in 2010 with a difference of 15%, the services sector experienced a slight increase and comprised 22% in 2010.
