These pie charts show the data about water usage with different industry in Syndey.
It is clear that the food industry stood the largest percentage of total water consumption, and this figure slightly dropped from 48% in 1997 to 41% in 2007. On the contrary, the water usage of household industry increased mildly from 19% to 21% in ten years. The same trend appeared in the service industry, since its water usage doubled in ten years.
Other industries consumed less water, and their usage declined. The water usage of manufacturing industry decreased from 15% to 11. Meanwhile, the building industry merely used 5% of water in 1997 and this figure dropped to 2% in 2007.
Overall, most water usage appeared in food, service and household industries, while manufacturing and building industries used small percentage of water. The water consumption of service industry grew greatly and the consumption of household industry also increased.
