Dear Sir,
My name is Jas, an employee at our office, and I am writing to express my concerns regarding the recent decision to close the cafeteria. I believe this choice warrants reconsideration.
The low usage of the cafeteria can be attributed to several factors. Primarily, the prices of food and beverages have increased significantly over the past year, making it less accessible for many staff members. Given our stagnant salaries, these rising costs do not align with the budgetary constraints we face.
Moreover, the cafeteria’s current state is far from inviting. The limited seating capacity often leads to a cramped and uncomfortable environment where employees feel suffocated. Additionally, the air conditioning does not function properly during the summer months, further detracting from the experience. These issues contribute to staff reluctance to use the cafeteria.
The impending closure will disproportionately impact many employees, including our janitorial and kitchen staff, who risk losing their jobs—a situation that could greatly affect their livelihoods.
To enhance the cafeteria experience, I propose a thorough renovation, including improving the cleanliness and ambiance, as well as revisiting the pricing strategy to offer more affordable options. Perhaps introducing discounts or meal plans could encourage greater patronage.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.
Yours sincerely,
Jas
