The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing oil and water from olives.
Overall, the process consists of seven sequential steps, starting with picking ripe fruits from trees and culminating in delivering the final products to shops for sale. It is also worth mentioning that the procedure mainly uses advanced technologies.
The process commences with plucking the olive fruits and placing them into containers. Once loaded into a rinsing machine for cleaning, they are washed under cold water. Subsequently, the cleaned olives move along a conveyor belt to remove any remaining impurities.
In the following stage, they are smashed and placed in an industrial tray to be sorted into two products: olive paste and olive stones. The latter is discarded as waste.
The remaining paste is placed into bags in preparation for the pressing stage. After pressing, the extracted liquid is transferred to a separating machine, where it is divided into water and pure olive oil. Finally, the end products are delivered to shops and supermarkets for consumers.
