The diagram given provides information on how many parcels delivered by Federal Express and TNT Mail Services firms between 1920 to 2000.
In general, both companies operated with a noticeably
upward tendency during an eighty-year period. Additionally, the TNT showed a more gradual rise compared to the FedEx.
It is observed that in 1920, the number of parcels delivered by Federal Express stood at 15 thousand and then increased steeply by around 10 thousand in the first two years. Nevertheless, this upward trend was unexpectedly broken and it plummeted dramatically over a short time from 1910 1950 to reach less than the initial level of about 2500. After this, the figures remained unchanged until the 1960-2000 period came with a steady rise to about 18 thousand.
On the other hand, the figures that TNT Mail Sevices reached 1820 was only 5 thousand. Burt during the first 4 years, they experienced a grudual growth and stabilised at the level of 10 thousand. Following this it is recorded with no typical changes, except a minimal drop before 1980. The remaining years showed a substantial boom when it plateauted at about 25 thousand which was quite similar to the highest level the Federal Express could reach.
