The given diagram elucidates the procedures of constructing a simple water filter and its function of producing clean drinking water.

Overall, there are three category of sediments in the water filter, with a tube from a drinking water storage tank connected to the sediment which is in the bottom of the filter.

In detail, gravel occupies the bottom of the tank whose aim is to filter water. The second part of the sediments is charcoal, whereas the top of these sediments is sand. It is these three types of sediments that consist of the basic filter. In order to clean water, the first step is pouring impure water into the filter tank, when it is filtered by these sedimens, the filtered water will be conveyed to the drinking water storage tank by a tube, with a control gadget which can manipulate the pace and quantity of water. Finally, water can be obtain by the tap on the bottom of the tank.
