The chart illustrates a potential way of producing electricity in the future. More specifically, there is shown a process of getting energy from compost for home use.
Overall, the key aspects of this particular method include compressing methane gas, which is fermented by compost, turning it into energy, and, lastly, delivering the electricity. In addition, this approach allows for people to produce their own electrical energy to power their homes, therefore not being forced to buy it.
The very first step of production is extracting methane gas from the steel tank almost full of leaves, food scraps and other compost types. After that, from the special storage container it is transported to the compressor. This structure operates by increasing the pressure on the gas. Compressed methane then travels to the combustion engine in specifically designed pipes. The said engine turns the gas into mechanical energy for it to be turned into electricity by the next appliance, which is a generator. Following this process, the electricity is moved to a battery – a special storage for it. The diagram ends with the actual usage of the obtained power to be used in the house.
