The given pictures describe the changes to a local museum and its surroundings between 1957 and 2007. Overall, the area had undergone remarkable changes, including the addition of new facilities in the campus of the museum and the disappearance of many trees, which made it become more visitor-friendly and convenient.
In 1957, there had been various huge trees to the south of the area, with a designated route linking the main road with the local museum. Surrounding the museum, a forest ecosystem had been grown, with numerous kinds of trees. In the museum, there had been 3 main rooms, including a local history room, a national history exhibition and a museum store – room.
Returning to the map of the museum in 2007, it can easily be seen that the most striking change was the elimination of the linking route between the museum to the road, along with the loss of many trees, making the surrounding area to be a more open place. At that period, the museum was developed with the removal of almost all of the previous rooms, except for the local history room. Many new rooms like reception, museum shop, cafe, special exhibitions and education center were added, serving more demands of visitors. One notable addition was that there was a car park constructed to the southern part of the museum.
