The bar graph illustrate the number of hacking attempts on a globally reputed website per month between 1997 and 2007.
It is quite evident that, a dramatic decrease was seen in number of hacking attempts from 1997 and 1999. However in 1997 hacking attempts per month was nearly 440. There was sudden decrease noticed in number of hacking attempts on an international reputed website, it comprised for 200 from 1997 to 1998. In1999 hacking attempts on website around 70 which was lowest number. Moreover, there had been a negligible difference noticed in number of hacking attempts, it accounted 180 to 200 between 1 year decades (2002 and 2001).
Moving ahead, there was rapid reduction in the number of hacking on website between 2002 and 2004. While 2002 hacking attempts on website was around 110 and 2003 number was 90 then 2004 decrease to 80. However, in 2005 the attempts of hacking suddenly increased around 160. The number of hacking attempts on an internationally reputed website bottom out around 95 in 2006. After that hacking attempts reached a peak point in 2007 around 160.
Overall, hacking attempts per year declined to one third compared to what it was ten years before.
