The process chart depicts the production of ethanol that is used as biofuel.
The diagram clearly illustrates, the utilization sunlight and carbon dioxide by trees, and the sequential steps involved in the production of ethanol that is used as fuel for automobiles. Furthermore, the carbon dioxide produced from the automobiles are used as energy by the trees again.
The plants and trees take up sunlight and carbon dioxide for photosynthesis that aids for their growth and functioning. The greeneries are then harvested and crushed during pre-processing to produce smaller fragments. The fragments are rich in cellulose, which are then chemically processed further in laboratory to produce simpler sugars.
In the following step, micro-organisms are added to the sugar molecules, which serves as a substrate for the microbes to produce ethanol. Ethanol is used as biofuel for cars, trucks, and aeroplanes. These vehicles emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This gas is again taken up the plants and trees for their structural development.
