The schematic describes how electricity production works on a nuclear power station. Overall, it consists of two main cycles. The steam generation process enclosed in the special facilities and the water cooling connected to the special towers that can be seen outside.
To begin with, inside of the containment building uranium fuel is connected to the steam generators such that the high pressure heated vapor will move out of the building towards the turbine. Where its blades and connected shaft get rotated. This shaft drives a generator, where physical rotation force is converted into electrical power. Electricity then subsequently moves through transformer and pwoer lines to cities.
Another important part of the process is cooling water. After steam leaves the turbine it goes through speacial pipe system where its temperature lowers enough to go through next cycle. When water takes the heat from vapor it flows towards cooling tower. The tower lets the temperature to go off into the open air in the form of water vapor. It is also connected to the cool water source.
