The diagram illustrates the process of generating electricity from coal.
It is clear from the diagram that there are eight steps in the electricity production process, which starts from mining coal and is completed by supplying electricity to houses and industries.
Initially, coal is excavated from underground mines and then subjected to crushing to facilitate combustion and transportation to the gasifier by trucks. In which, coal is burned with high heat to create gas. Subsequently, this amount of gas is sent to a separate facility to be cooled off, at the same time, waste heat is released.
Following this, cool gas is cleaned and then becomes the input for a gas power plant. While electricity is generated in the power plant, excessive heat is released as a source of waste. Finally, the electricity generated is supplied to households and industries for various applications. It is noteworthy that the cooling process generates solid waste as depicted in the diagram, emphasizing the comprehensive nature of the electricity production from coal.
