The given picture gives a depiction of several stages to produce electricity from coal.
The initial impression from the production process would be that this involves seven prime phases to generate electricity, starting from coal mining, crushing, gasifying and culminating at electricity generation.
The process commences when the main material, coal is extracted from a mine. This fossil fuel is then crushed into smaller fragments before being placed onto trucks and delivered to a gasifier. Here, in a specialized factory, with heat, coal is gasified to convert it into gas. In another factory, it is cooled down and unwated waste heat which is shown as a byproduct is removed.
After being cooled, gas is cleaned and channeled to a gas power plant for further processing. In this step, waste heat is discarded one more time and only purified gas is kept. Finally, the electricity is generated and distributed to residential houses or in industrial factories for manufacturing products.
