The diagram illustrates the natural phenomenon of rock which starts from volcanic mountain to small pieces of rock.
On the whole process, rock’s origin comes in a liquid form called magma, wherein belongs on the deeper layers of the Earth and undergoes four phases before becoming a rock on the surface.
Start from the volcanic eruption which expels boiling liquid called “Magma”, wherein placed beneath earth’s surface and bursts into the mountainside. Due to extreme temperature differences, the lava cooldown and transforms into igneous rock. After that, these rocks slowly build-up and eventually exposed to rain, which lead to rock erosion and breakdown into sand and stones. Later on, collections of sand and stones will fall down through mountain landslide and going into the deepest level of the sea. After this process, sedimentation will occur and form the “Sedimentary rock”. This type of rock can either rise up and revolve back into igneous form or undergo high pressure and temperature to evolve into metamorphic rock. Just like previous mechanism, igneous rock can also be attained once metamorphic rock reaches the surface. While, a melted metamorphic rock will transform back into magma and erupt once the eruption occurred again.
