The process diagram reveals that how salt is removed from sea water to make it drinkable.
Overall, the entire process for removing the salt from the sea water, it is the long process. There are several steps to take place in the process and finally the salt water turns drinkable.
First of all, the sea water is collected from the main source of sea through the pipeline. Then The salt water intake in the pre treatment filter with the other pipe. After that the raw water is forced through membrane at high pressure when collecting the water in the pretreatment filter, at the same time rest of the water in gone through the filter backwash to the sea. On the other hand, the water is gone through the pipe to the post treatment filter where the water is purified with lime, chlorine and fluoride.
When the water is membraned that time the dirty water is returned to sea throughout the pipeline. After this process, finally the water is stored and the supply system is integrated to water.
It is noticeable that the whole process turns the salt water to make drinkable.
