The above-given process diagram illustrates how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to generate reliable forecasts.
Overall, it can be noted that there are 4 main stages in the production. They are the information collection stage, analysis and forecast step, preparation steps for the broadcast, and finally the broadcast step.
In the incoming information collecting stage, all information is gathered via three main sources such as satellite, radar, and drifting buoy.
In the next step, all gathered satellite photos, radar screen synoptic charts will be analyzed. The forecasting part is also done in the same stage. In the following step, all the preparation work is done for the broadcast. The finalized material will be broadcast via three main methods such as TV newsreader, radio, and recorded announcements in the final step. Finally, it can be noted that this is an effective and efficient way to furnish reliable forecasts by collecting up-to-date information on the weather.
