The diagram above shows how are the weather information is collected by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology in oder to produce reliable forecast up to the minutes.
The diagram shows three types of incoming information that are used by the bureau. The first method that is used to collect weather information is thru the satellite, where after an analysis and forecasting it becomes a satellite photo. Secondly, is using a radar where information will be shown thru a radar screen. Lastly will be thru drifting buoy where information comes by a synoptic chart.
After forecasting and analysing information from synoptic chart, satellite and radar screen, the Bureau then will prepare to broadcast. In the end the whole broadcast will be delivered thru TV newsreader, radio and recorded announcement. And therefore this is how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up to the minutes information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecast.
