The diagram clearly illustrates the processes of making garden compost from organic waste. Overall, there are five steps to produce the garden fertilizer, commencing with preparing the material and ending with the use of compost in gardening after 6 months.
To start with, a plastic container with an approximate volume of 2 cubic meters is chosen, and four holes are made on the two opposite sides of the container to create an air flow. Afterwards, various types of waste are added into the container in a specific order, starting from food, grass, and newspaper. Each type of waste should be in a 15-centimetre-thick layer.
The following stage is that nitrogen and hot water are put into the container until the level reaches the top layer. Subsequently, the container is closed with a lid, and the chemical reaction occurs through the process of heat. After six months, the organic waste is turned into compost that can be used for gardening.
